Theme Groups
402 will focus on broad subjects within an overarching theme.
These could be: soils/ crops, value addition, IPM, Biotech,
etc. Students will have a chance to work on individual papers
in any one of these subjects. (Fig 1). Students will be expected
to select topics of their interest during the first two classes
and then work with an assigned faculty member to develop
their project paper. See "Faculty" page
for links to web pages and emails
During the video conference Cornell students will have a
chance to get to know the students in India who will prepare
back-ground papers for the follow up 602 field trip to India
during Jan 06.
602 will build on the learning gained in 402 and will focus on creating multi-disciplinary
teams with strengths in several areas so that they can work as a group in an
overarching theme. Students from Cornell will be teamed with students from
India or Mexico.
