Students interested in rural development will have opportunity to see first hand projects on the ground level in local villages. Other thematic areas such as crops, soils, gender issues, poverty alleviation, nutritional issues, will also be covered through various visits. Detailed agenda for the trip will be made available to all selected travelers during the 402 course.

Other visits may include the: seed sector, research institutions, NGOs, to Agricultural Universities, Markets, International Crops Research Institute for the Semi Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Rice Research Institute, Women Empowerment NGOs, interaction with farmers, self help groups, industry leaders, policy makers and many other exciting side visits.
